Blue Cheese Dill Dip

Dill creates a delicious twist on blue cheese dip.

Blue Cheese Dill Dip
Have ever been preparing food for a get together and realize you want one more dish. Just that little something else. Well that is what happened to me. My precious baby girl turned 20 this week, no longer a teenager. She wanted a
cookout, with tons of chicken wings. So being the ever accomodating mother that I am, I complied. I had plenty of ranch dip to go around, but none of the standard blue cheese that people expect with wings. Ah, but blue cheese crumbles I did have. (Remember the no cheese debacle from the Spinach Breakfast Salad post.) I have since kept a well stocked cheese supply. So I went rummaging through the fridge for some lovely little ingredients to throw together for this dip. Am I ever glad I did. So easy to make. So much fresher than the bottled stuff and healthier too, no shelf stable preservatives. We ate this with wings, on salads, and used as a veggie dip. Carrots were my favorite! What is your favorite food to dive into this dip with?

                          Blue Cheese Dill Dip

Total Time: 10 Minutes

2/3 Cup Sour Cream
1/3 Cup Mayonnaise
4 Heaping Tablespoons Crumbled Bleu Cheese
1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice-Preferably Fresh
1 Teaspoon Dried Dill
½ Teaspoon Garlic Powder
¼ Teaspoon Salt
Pinch of Black Pepper

Mix sour cream and mayonnaise until thoroughly combined. Add all other ingredients except bleu cheese crumbles thoroughly mix. Add bleu cheese crumbles, mix to combine and all crumbles are covered with dip. Refrigerate until ready to consume. Will stay fresh for up to five days, if kept refrigerated.

Makes 1 cup. Recipe can easily be doubled or tripled.
